Accident Summary:
The LVMPD states that a vehicle vs vehicle accident occurred on January 2, 2023, at approximately 2:07 p.m.
As stated in the Press Release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department “On January 2, 2023, at approximately 2:07 p.m., an Automobile versus SUV traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Westcliff Drive and Antelope Way. The preliminary collision investigation, evidence at the scene, and surveillance footage indicated that a 2009 Nissan Cube was traveling south on Tenaya Way, which changes to Antelope Way south of the intersection, in the single southbound travel lane while approaching the intersection. A 2021 Toyota 4Runner was traveling east on Westcliff Drive in the inside eastbound travel lane while approaching the intersection. A collision occurred when the Nissan’s driver failed to stop for a solid red traffic signal and impacted the Toyota in the intersection. The Nissan’s driver was transported to UMC Trauma from the collision scene by ground ambulance with injuries determined to be nonlife-threatening by trauma staff. The Toyota’s driver remained at the collision scene with minor injuries and showed no signs of impairment. Based on the preliminary collision investigation details, the LVMPD Fatal Detail was not requested and did not respond to the scene.”
