The LVMPD states that a vehicle vs pedestrian accident occurred on August 11, 2022, at approximately 5:22 p.m.
As stated in the Press Release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department “Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated a white 2022 Toyota Highlander was parked along the west curb of Roxella and had just finished dropping off multiple passengers at a residence. As the driver of the Toyota began to make a U-turn to travel southbound on Roxella Lane, a 3-year-old ran toward the vehicle and was struck by the left front. The juvenile fell to the ground and was run over by the left front tire of the Toyota. The juvenile was transported to Sunrise Hospital by family members, where despite lifesaving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.”
