Summary of the Accident

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) states that a a fatal auto versus motorcycle collision occurred on on February 18, 2023, at approximately 3:36 p.m.

As stated in the official press release from the LVMPD, “Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicate that a 2014 Jeep Compass traveled westbound on Flamingo Rd. in the left turn lane west of Euclid St. A 2006 Suzuki GSX-R traveled eastbound in the left-most travel lane approaching Euclid St. A collision occurred when the Jeep turned left into the path of the Suzuki. The front of the Suzuki struck the right side of the Jeep. The driver of the Jeep sustained minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and showed no signs of impairment. Arriving emergency medical personnel determined the motorcycle rider was beyond medical intervention, and he was pronounced deceased at the collision scene.

The rider’s death marks the 14th traffic-related death in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Department’s Jurisdiction for 2023.”
