The LVMPD states that a vehicle vs pedestrian accident occurred on August 12, 2022, at approximately 8:39 a.m.

As stated in the Press Release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department “Evidence at the scene, witness statements, and surveillance video indicated that a 2008 Toyota Corolla was traveling eastbound on Flamingo Road, west of the intersection with Rainbow Boulevard, in the right left turn lane of two (L2). The Toyota was approaching the intersection on a green turn arrow. A pedestrian was crossing over Flamingo Road, from south to north, outside of a marked crosswalk. A collision occurred when the pedestrian darted through stopped traffic and entered the Toyota’s path of travel. The pedestrian ran into the front right side of the Toyota. The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to UMC Trauma, where he remains in critical condition. The driver of the Toyota remained at the collision scene and did not show signs of impairment.”
