Summary of the Accident
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), a critical-injury automobile versus electric scooter collision occurred on South Durango Drive north of West Mountains Edge Parkway at approximately 2:31 p.m. on February 16, 2023.
As stated in the official press release from the LVMPD, “Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated a 2018 Honda Civic was traveling northbound on Durango Drive in the left-most travel lane. The non-motorist operating an electric scooter was riding east on West Mountains Edge Parkway in the north crosswalk at South Durango Drive. A collision occurred when the front of the Honda Civic contacted the electric scooter as it rode across the intersection. The non-motorist sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to UMC trauma by medical personnel. The driver of the Honda Civic remained on the collision scene and showed no signs of impairment.”
