Accident Summary:
The LVMPD states that a vehicle vs pedestrian accident occurred on September 2, 2022, at approximately 10:54 p.m.
As stated in the Press Release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department “Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling westbound on Cheyenne in the right-most lane (T3) of three westbound lanes. The pedestrian was crossing the roadway outside of an established crosswalk. A collision occurred when the right front of the Chevrolet collided with the pedestrian. The pedestrian fell to the roadway and came to rest on the north side of Cheyenne near the gutter. Despite all life-saving efforts by medical personnel, the pedestrian was determined to be deceased at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet fled the scene without checking on the welfare of the pedestrian. “
