Accident Summary:
The LVMPD states that a vehicle vs motorcycle accident occurred on September 3, 2022, at approximately 8:05 p.m.
As stated in the Press Release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department “Evidence at the collision scene and statements from witnesses indicate that a 2019 Police Harley Davidson motorcycle traveled eastbound on East Lake Mead Boulevard, approaching North Walnut Road with a green traffic signal. A 2000 Chevrolet S10 traveled westbound on East Lake Mead Boulevard, approaching North Walnut Road. The Chevrolet conducted a left turn with a permissive green light in front of the Harley Davidson. A collision occurred when the Harley Davidson struck the front of the Chevrolet in the intersection. The Harley’s rider was ejected and came to rest in the roadway. Arriving emergency medical personnel transported the Harley Davidson’s rider to University Medical Center’s Trauma Center for serious injuries. The Chevrolet’s rider remained at the collision scene and showed signs of impairment. He was later booked into the Clark County Detention Center for related charges. The collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section. “
