Accident Summary:

The LVMPD states that a vehicle vs motorcycle accident occurred on September 12, 2022, at approximately 4:50 p.m.

As stated in the Press Release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department “Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated that a silver 2005 Chevrolet Silverado was initially traveling north on South Decatur Boulevard and was attempting to make a left turn onto Doe Avenue. A red 2021 Kawasaki 400 motorcycle was traveling south on South Decatur Boulevard and was approaching the intersection with Doe Avenue. A collision occurred when the truck conducted a left turn across the motorcyclist’s path of travel. Responding emergency medical services transported the motorcyclist to University Medical Center’s Trauma Unit for treatment. Despite all life-saving measures, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The driver of the Chevrolet remained at the scene and did not display indicators of impairment.
