Accident Summary:
The LVMPD states that a vehicle vs motorcycle accident occurred on August 19, 2022, at approximately 4:58 a.m.
As stated in the Press Release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department “Evidence at the scene and a witness statement indicate a 2006 Ford F150 was traveling west on Desert Inn Road in the middle westbound travel lane. The Ford’s driver and other vehicles started to slow down for a red traffic signal at the intersection. A 2020 Honda CBR300R motorcycle was traveling westbound on Desert Inn Road and was reported to have been splitting lanes while approaching the intersection. A collision occurred when the Honda motorcycle impacted the rear right of the Ford east of the intersection. The motorcyclist was transported to Sunrise Hospital from the collision scene by ground ambulance. Despite medical intervention, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.”
