The LVMPD states that a vehicle vs go-cart accident occurred on December 20, 2022, at approximately 1:39 p.m.
As stated in the Press Release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department "Surveillance video, witness statements, and scene evidence indicated that a homemade go-cart driven by Jeffrey Samaripa was southbound on Silver Chimes Court. Mr. Samaripa failed to stop at the marked stop sign or negotiate a turn. As a result, Mr. Samaripa collided with an unoccupied, parked SUV. Mr. Samaripa was taken to the Sunrise Hospital Trauma Center by ambulance, where hospital staff determined his injuries to be life-threatening."
