On February 6, 2025, at around 6:32 p.m., there was a two-vehicle collision that involved a pedestrian who was killed on South Decatur Boulevard north of West Reno Avenue says a report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD). A 2019 Toyota Tundra was headed north on Decatur Boulevard. A 2024 Hyundai Elantra also headed north on Decatur Boulevard. A pedestrian entered the street at an unmarked crosswalk in front of the Toyota. The front of the Toyota hit the pedestrian and projected them causing them to hit the front of the Hyundai. Both the Toyota and Hyundai stopped and waited for the police and ambulance to arrive on the scene. Medical personnel arrived, but due to the significant injuries obtained by the pedestrian, they were pronounced dead at the scene. This is the 23rd traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2025.
