Summary of the Accident
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) reported that on February 18, 2023, at approximately 11:19 p.m., a critical injury hit and run traffic collision occurred on Spanish Drive north of Spanish View Lane.
According to the official press release from the LVMPD, “Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicate that a 2004 Nissan Titan was traveling north on Spanish Drive north of Spanish View Ln. and drifted left of center. A collision occurred when the Nissan Titan crossed the southbound travel lane and drove onto the sidewalk before the front left of the Nissan Titan impacted a block wall.”
Following the impact, “The driver then removed the two children from the passenger area of the pick-up truck and brought them to a secondary location, leaving the Nissan Titan behind. Medical personnel responded to the secondary location and transported one juvenile by ambulance to UMC trauma with critical injuries. The other juvenile was transported by ambulance to UMC trauma with minor injuries. The driver of the Nissan Titan fled the area before Police arrived.”
