The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reports that on January 22, 2025, at 6:57 p.m., there was a three-vehicle car accident that occurred on Paradise Road near the construction zone located at Kitty Hawk Way. A 2019 Dodge Challenger was recklessly speeding south on Paradise Road. A 2013 Kia Forte and a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder were traveling south on Paradise Road. The Dodge abruptly lane changed onto Wayne Newton Boulevard and hit a raised concrete barrier divider, causing him to overturn. The driver of the Dodge traveled along the barrier. The Dodge then struck the front of the Kia and proceeded to strike the rear of the Nissan. The Dodge continued to flip and landed on its roof. Due to the injuries sustained, the driver of the Dodge Challenger did not make it and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Kia did not report injuries at the scene, but the driver of the Kia was transported to Sunrise Hospital via ambulance, where she was treated for her injuries. This marks the 12th motor-vehicle-related fatality in LVMPD jurisdiction for 2025.
