According to a report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, there was a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on West Tropicana Avenue, just south of Conquistador Street, on April 20, 2025, at around 10:19 p.m. A Silver Sport Utility Vehicle headed east on Tropicana Avenue. A pedestrian was kneeling or lying in the roadway. The crash occurred when the pedestrian was struck by the front of the Sport Utility Vehicle. The vehicle continued east on Tropicana Avenue and did not stop. Medical personnel arrived on the scene and transported the pedestrian to the UMC Trauma Center, but the injuries sustained were too significant, and they were pronounced dead at the hospital.
