According to a report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, there was a collision between a pedestrian and a motorcycle on Friday, October 3, 2025, at around 7:58 p.m. on South Torrey Pines Drive north of Hyde Avenue. A 2007 Suzuki GSRX-600 was headed south on Torrey Pines Drive, approaching Hyde Avenue, when it collided with a pedestrian on a mobility scooter crossing east on Torrey Pines Drive. The pedestrian was transported to University Medical Center’s Trauma Unit for their life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead. The motorcyclist was arrested for DUI-related charges. This marks the 120th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2025.
