According to a report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, there was a collision between a pedestrian and a box truck on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at around 11:18 p.m. on Eastern Avenue, just south of Owens Avenue. A 2019 Ram ProMaster was headed north of Eastern Avenue when it collided with a pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to UMC Trauma by ambulance, where they were pronounced deceased. This marks the 89th traffic-related fatality for LVMPD’s jurisdiction.
