According to a report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, there was a collision that occurred between a vehicle and a pedestrian on East Oakey Boulevard, just east of Las Vegas Boulevard, on April 18, 2025, at around 6:41 p.m. A 2021 Ford Explorer was headed west on Oakey Boulevard, approaching the intersection with Las Vegas Boulevard with a green traffic light. A pedestrian failed to obey the pedestrian traffic control device and entered the roadway. The pedestrian entered the Ford’s path, causing the Ford to hit the pedestrian. Medical personnel arrived on the scene and transported the pedestrian to UMC Trauma Center, where they remain in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
