According to a report from News 4, there was a collision that occurred in the early morning of April 12, where a box truck hit multiple vehicles in Reno on Interstate 580, just south of Moana Lane. A report from the Nevada Highway Patrol states that a box truck was traveling on I-580 and failed to slow down to traffic that was slowing down and rear-ended a Hyundai SUV, which caused the vehicle to overturn and hit a Toyota van and a Toyota sedan. Two passengers were ejected from the Hyundai. They remain in critical condition at a local hospital. The front passenger of the Hyundai suffered significant injuries, was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the Hyundai suffered from non-life-threatening injuries. The occupants in the surrounding vehicles reported no injuries at the scene of the accident. This collision remains under investigation by local authorities.
