One Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on South Jones Boulevard in Las Vegas, NV

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), there was a hit-and-run collision that occurred on March 26, at around 6:26 a.m., on South Jones Boulevard just north of West Fairbanks Road. Video surveillance showed a white midsize Sport Utility vehicle headed north on Jones Boulevard, passing the intersection with West Fairbanks Road. There was a female pedestrian in the middle of Jones Boulevard. The crash occurred when the front of the white vehicle hit the pedestrian. The vehicle continued north without stopping or returning to the scene. Medical personnel arrived on the scene and transported the pedestrian to University Medical Center’s Trauma Unit. Due to the significant injuries the pedestrian sustained, the individual was pronounced dead. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is still searching for the vehicle and its driver.
