According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, there was a collision that occurred between a pedestrian and a vehicle on the Pecos-McLeod Interconnect on March 30, 2025, at around 7:47 p.m. A pedestrian was crossing McLeod on a personal mobility device. An unknown vehicle was traveling east on McLeod Drive, approaching the intersection. The driver failed to yield to the pedestrian crossing in an uncontrolled marked crosswalk. The vehicle struck the pedestrian and pushed them across the intersection. The vehicle then proceeded to flee the scene of the accident. Medical personnel arrived on the scene and transported the pedestrian to Sunrise Hospital in an ambulance, where they were pronounced deceased. This is the 41st traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2025. Authorities are still searching for the vehicle and person responsible for this crash.
