According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), there was a fatal collusion that occurred on February 2, 2025, at 12:03 a.m. near the intersection of East Desert Inn Road and Pawnee Drive. A pedestrian crossed Desert Inn Road just west of Pawnee Drive at an unmarked crosswalk. A 2022 Nissan Altima was headed west on Desert Inn Road and struck the pedestrian when they entered its path. Medical personnel arrived on scene, but the injuries to the pedestrian were too severe, and the pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene. This is the 17th traffic fatality in the LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2025.
