One Motorcyclist Dead After a Car Crash on Lone Mountain Road in Las Vegas, NV

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a collision occurred between a motorcycle and a vehicle on Lone Mountain Road just west of Rainbow Boulevard. A 2023 Harley Davidson Road Glide was headed west on Lone Mountain Road approaching 4949 Rancho Drive. A 2006 Toyota Corolla entered Lone Mountain Road from 4949 Rancho Drive. The driver of the Toyota failed to yield to the right of way and entered into the path of the Harley Davidson. The crash occurred when the motorcycle hit the left front of the Toyota. The rider was then ejected from the motorcycle into the roadway. Medical personnel arrived on the scene and transported the motorcyclist to UMC Trauma. However, the injuries sustained were too significant, and the rider was pronounced dead. The driver of the Toyota also appeared to be injured and was also transported to UMC. The driver of the Toyota appeared to be intoxicated and was arrested for DUI-related charges. This marks the 50th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2025.
