The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) reports a crash on South Decatur Boulevard south of West Tropicana Avenue on February 4, 2025, at around 3:50 a.m. leaving one fatal bicyclist. A 2014 Nissan Altima headed south on Decatur Boulevard approaching the intersection of Tropicana Avenue. A bicycle was riding east at 4905 West Tropicana Avenue. When they crossed the intersection of Decatur Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue, the bicycle struck the front of the Nissan and was projected into the street. Medical personnel arrived on scene and transported the cyclist to UMC Trauma. However, the injuries sustained were too significant, and the bicyclist was pronounced dead. This is the 19th traffic fatality in the LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2025.
