According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, there was a fatal hit-and-run accident with a bicycle on Stewart Avenue east of Pecos Road on February 6, 2025, at around 11:10 p.m. A bicyclist was riding west on Stewart Avenue in the bike lane. A Toyota Camry was also traveling west on Stewart Avenue and failed to keep in its lane and hit the bicycle near 3700 Stewart Avenue. The Toyota proceeded to flee the scene after the collision. The bicyclist was transported by ambulance to UMC Trauma and was pronounced dead by the Trauma staff. This death marks the 24th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2025. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is still searching for the vehicle and the driver of the Toyota Camry.
