According to a report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, there was a single motorcycle collision on Wednesday, July 23, at around 1:07 a.m. on Carey Avenue, just west of Christy Avenue. A 2014 Yamaha V Star motorcycle was traveling west on Carey Avenue when it struck a luminary support. Medical personnel arrived on the scene, but the injuries sustained were too significant, and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. This marks the 94th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2025.
