Motorcyclist Crashes into RTC Bus on Charleston Boulevard and Shadow Lane in Las Vegas, NV

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a collision occurred between an RTC bus and a motorcycle on West Charleston Boulevard and Shadow Lane on March 19, 2025, at around 1:03 a.m. A 2012 Yamaha FZ8-N motorcycle was headed west on Charleston Boulevard, approaching the intersection with Shadow Lane at a high rate of speed. A 2012 Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) New Flyer bus was headed east on Charleston Boulevard approaching Shadow Lane. The driver of the RTC bus made a left turn, crossing into the path of the motorcyclist. The motorcycle collided with the right rear side of the RTC bus and was ejected from the bike into the street. Medical personnel arrived on the scene, but the injuries sustained by the motorcyclist were too severe that they were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. A passenger on the RTC sustained injuries and was transported to UMC Trauma Center via ambulance. This death marks the 37th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2025.
