On Tuesday, March 16, 2021, the Federal Food and Drug Administration announced they were opening an investigation into Real Water- Alkalized Water. Real Water was identified as a common link between five separate Las Vegas households whose children all went into liver failure caused by non-viral hepatitis. Non-viral hepatitis is an inflation of the liver that can be caused by toxins in the body. The FDA has encouraged people to immediately stop consuming Real Water while they continue investigating this matter.
