According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), a collision occurred between a Kukirin G4 Electric Scooter and a 2015 Toyota 4Runner on January 24, 2025 at 2:37 p.m. The Toyota 4Runner was headed east on Karen Avenue and prepared to make a left turn onto Joe W. Brown Drive at the intersection with a flashing yellow light. The pedestrian riding the electric scooter was headed west on Karen Avenue. The Toyota began to make the left turn as the pedestrian entered the intersection. The driver of the e-scooter collided with the Toyota, and the crash pushed the individual into the street. Medical personnel arrived at the scene and transported the pedestrian to Sunrise Hospital, where the injuries were reported as life-threatening.
