According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), a collision occurred between two vehicles and one motorcycle on January 27, 2025 at 7:09 p.m. A BMW K 1600 motorcycle headed east on Blue Diamond Road. The motorcycle struck the rear of a 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class while the Mercedes was also headed east on Blue Diamond Road. The motorcyclist was separated from the bike and a 2004 Ford Explorer struck him. The injuries that were sustained by the accident were so severe that the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Mercedes-Benz sustained minor injuries and was transported to UMC Trauma. The driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries and was transported to St. Rose Sienna Hospital. This marks the 14th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction.
