According to a report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, there was a collision between two vehicles on Saturday, June 28, at around 9:57 p.m. at the intersection of East Katie Avenue and South Maryland Parkway. A 2005 Mercedes-Benz CLK320 headed east on Katie Avenue when it collided with a 2005 Nissan Altima that was headed west on Katie Avenue, attempting to turn left onto Maryland Parkway. Medical personnel arrived on the scene and transported the driver of the Nissan to Sunrise Hospital Trauma Center, where they were pronounced dead due to the injuries sustained in the accident. This marks the 84th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2025.
