According to a report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), there was a collision between two vehicles on Tuesday, May 27, at around 2:34 a.m. at the intersection of West Lake Mead Boulevard and North Jones Boulevard. A 2022 Ford F-150 was headed east on Lake Mead Boulevard approaching Jones Boulevard. A 2013 Ford Fiesta was headed south on Jones Boulevard at Lake Mead Boulevard when the collision with the Ford F-150. Medical personnel arrived at the scene of the accident and transported the driver of the Ford Fiesta to the University Medical Center with serious injuries. The driver of the Ford F-150 was arrested for DUI-related charges. On June 2, 2025, LVMPD was notified that the driver of the Fiesta was pronounced dead. This marks the 71st traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction.
