According to a report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, there was a collision between two vehicles on May 15, 2025, at around 8:03 p.m. on West Gomer Road and South Cimarron Road. A 2015 Nissan Altima sedan was headed east on Gomer Road. A 2024 Ram 2500 truck stopped northbound on Cimarron Road at a stop sign at the intersection with Gomer Road. The Ram proceeded through the intersection when the Nissan collided with the left side of the Ram truck. Medical personnel arrived on the scene, and the driver of the Nissan and the driver of the Ram were transported by ambulance to the UMC Trauma Center. However, the injuries sustained by the Nissan driver were too significant, and they were pronounced dead. This marks the 68th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2025.
