Accident Summary:
On January 8, 2025, at 3:47 p.m., a car accident caused a 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van to smash into a wall, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) states.
The 2023 Mercedez-Benz Van drove east on Cheyenne Ave next to a 2013 Chrysler 200. The driver of the Chrysler failed to stay in their lane and sideswiped the passenger side of the van. The Chrysler hit a traffic sign trailer in a construction zone and then traveled off the south side of Cheyenne Avenue over the sidewalk and into a cinder block wall before reentering onto Cheyenne Avenue. The driver of the Chrysler sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mountain View Hospital. The result of this crash caused eastbound Cheyenne Avenue to temporarily close.
