According to a report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, there was a collision between an electric bike and a pickup truck that occurred on North Jones Boulevard and West Eugene Avenue on April 28, 2025, at around 6:21 p.m. A 2017 Ram 1500 was headed south of Jones Boulevard, approaching Eugene Avenue. A Segway Xyber electric bike with two riders was headed east on Eugene Avenue approaching Jones Boulevard. The front of the Segway collided with the Ram and ejected both riders into the street. Medical personnel arrived at the scene and transported the electric bike passenger to the University Medical Center. The injuries sustained by the driver of the electric bike were too significant that they were pronounced dead at the scene. This marks the 56th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2025.
