The LVMPD states that an auto vs pedestrian accident occurred on August 11, 2022, at approximately 11:11 a.m.

As stated in the Press Release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department “Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated that a female pedestrian was crossing over Tropicana Avenue outside of a marked crosswalk. A Hyundai Sonata was traveling eastbound on Tropicana Avenue in the left travel lane of three (T1). A collision occurred when the pedestrian entered the path of travel of the Hyundai. The pedestrian was projected forward and came to rest on the roadway. The driver of the Hyundai failed to remain at the collision scene and left the area. The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sunrise Hospital’s Trauma Unit by ambulance. Despite all life-saving measures, the pedestrian succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased by hospital staff. The driver of the Hyundai was located and showed signs of impairment. The driver was arrested for DUI and Hit and Run related charges.”
