On January 11, 2025, at 11:56 a.m., a car hit a motorcycle on Sandy Lane and East Colton Avenue, a report shows from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. A Chevrolet Cruze was driving north on Sandy Lane approaching Colton Avenue. A Honda motorcycle was headed south on Sandy Lane approaching Colton Avenue. The Chevrolet made a left turn onto Colton Avenue in front of the motorcyclist. This caused the front end of the motorcycle to crash into the passenger side of Chevrolet. The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle causing him to obtain sustained critical injuries. Medical personnel arrived on the scene and transported the motorcyclist to UMC Trauma where he remains in critical condition.
